Features to know about

Stay Level Under Load: Air Springs That Eliminate Rear-End Sag

When heavy cargo or a trailer makes the rear drop, these Coil-Rite air helper springs keep things level. They fit inside your existing coil springs to provide extra rear-end support and help maintain even load distribution with air pressure from 5 psi to 35 psi. With up to 1,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, you keep your ride height where it belongs so your steering, braking, and headlight aim stay consistent under heavy weight.

Smooth Out the Ride: Extra Cushion for Rough Roads

Rough pavement and uneven loads can make your vehicle bounce or bottom out. The durable, elastic polyurethane construction of these air springs adds a cushion between axle and frame to smooth out road shock. They reduce bottoming and soften contact points so the ride feels more controlled, even when working under heavy loading and adverse road conditions.

Fine-Tune Handling Side to Side: Manual Inflation Control

Not every load sits perfectly centered. These air bags adjust manually, side to side, using individual inflation valves so you can level off-center loads and cut down on body roll. A balanced setup keeps your vehicle stable on curves and helps prevent sway or wandering when the weight shifts.

Built to Last and Easy to Maintain: Reliable Polyurethane Design

Firestone designed these Coil-Rite springs for long service life with strong, elastic polyurethane that resists wear over time. Each kit includes brackets, hardware, air line, and separate valves for manual inflation so you have everything needed for installation. Replacement springs are available if you ever need to service an existing setup, keeping your suspension support dependable for years to come.

Great upgrade for carrying weight in the back or towing a trailer. They are a bit tough to install. I found twisting the bag over in the middle and inserting it between the spring to the trick. Insert the top side on the passenger bag first. Insert the bottom side first on the driver side take care with the week ass tubing because if it folds over on itself in a coil, it will remain pinched which I can see will cause problems in the future. The tubing was better 20 years ago than what they give you today. One tube replacement over $30!! Ridiculous !! I like the right height adjustability and my truck feels more stable with a load of weight in the back of my truck advertised in the video shown below.

by:

The airbags is working out well so far. Install video was a great representative of what it took. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the packaging. Outer box was perfect, actual product packaging looked like it was used a soccer ball. .

by:

Fit my 2001 Expedition perfectly. Took away all the sag when towing and like others have said I like the way it rides better even unloaded with 5PSI in the bags. Well worth the money, easy install. FYI this was my first time using bags on any vehicle, I was nervous and these were fabtastic!

by:

These were just as described as far as quality and look. The installation of them were a little more difficult than they show in the video but can easily be done by someone with basic skills. I would recommend if you have the ability to remove the springs and then just insert the bags that way as I couldn’t get one in without doing that. Otherwise the install is pretty straightforward. Haven’t used them with a load or towing yet but hopefully they will work as designed.

Firestone airbags have worked well for my 2017 4Runner. When I'm not attached to my camper, I keep the airbags deflated to about 5 PSI. But when I put my trailer 3,500 lb. Onto the back of my 4Runner I get several in of sag. I pump up the airbags to about 20 psi and I level out the whole rig. What a perfect hybrid system to have. It's there when you need it. Perfect system for a sagging. Backside on a rear coil spring 4Runner. Thanks, e-trailer

by:

It fit great. And works like a champ... I couldn't be happier with these air helper springs! E trailer made it easy and they followed up with me to make sure i'm pleased with the product... Very happy with the service.

by:

Great product. I must say that they were a little tough to install. A very tight fit. Fortunately for me I had the availability of a vacuum pump. With that I was able to evacuate all the air out of the bags which made them flatter, with that, it made it easier to slide them between the coil springs. I tow a small camper trailer, I usually run around 20 psi in the bags. This keeps my vehicle level and adds for a smooth ride. A great product.

by:

I initially ordered the wrong airbags. I called eTrailer and Jeremy H. was very understanding. He got the right ones immediately shipped out and sent me a return label and info while I was on the phone with him. The bags seem good quality comparable to my previous Airlift bags. Instructions were well written and all hardware was accounted for in the shipment.

by:

Easy install on lc200, it’s only been a couple days but test run with a trailer was great. Recommend getting getting inflation bracket (Firestone WR17607560) to reduce the need for any drilling if you don’t go with onboard compressor.

by:

The airbags were difficult to install on a 2021 Sienna. It required removing the rubber stopper from inside the coil spring. Once that was out, install was easy. However, these need to be installed with the valve down as the plastic spacers fall out when the van is lifted for service when installed right side up as recommended. Upside down the air hose is routed thru the center of the plastic donut spacer which holds it in place when the van is lifted. However, once installed "upside down" the valves tend to pinch on the suspension as they move around. The pinching lets the air out and requires the bags to be frequently repositioned especially after the van is lifted for service. It is a good product, just unreliable and requires much inspection and maintenance to work properly. Will be loading up again for a summer trip and will need to reposition them so they work as I just had the oil changed.

by:

These bags along with minor adjustments to my load leveling hitch made towing my 19.4 No Bo trailer so much more relaxing!I am running 20 PSI and 3/4 of an inch higher than stock ride hight. Easy peasy

by:

I bought this set because I was having problems with one of the airbags I previously had gotten. It was on the right side of my forerunner. It had a slow leak. When I replaced the airbag this time it had a very fast leak. I finally found That if I used NAPA Sil-Glyde to insert tube it seems to be holding air. And I squeezed air bag into the spring. Use soap for sliding it in.

by:

Phone service was excellent. Air bags helped a lot with stability. I found it easier to remove the spring from the Avalanche than to fight with it in chassis. Removing the spring also gave me a chance to clean the dirt and rocks out of the hose routing area. It was a little more work to drop the axle down but it really wasn't that bad. I was able to do it all without a hoist. Just used two floor jacks. I just let one side down at a time. Remove your swaybar link and shock and let one side down. Pull the spring and do the work in a vise. Its much easier than fighting with it on your back. Also put the air hose in really hot water and it will relax its memory.

by:

Well I did not expect to have a one year follow up from ETrailer! I’m a 5 Star happy with these airbags over the AirLift 1000’s I had that blew out just after the warranty was up! These bags are more than twice the product, as you can inflate to >60 psi and that makes for a way more steady ride with weight! I typically run mine at around 45 psi now, the AirLift are limited to 28 psi. The construction is far superior and quality is excellent!!!

A little thought to install but after some squeezing and pushing got them installed and the wife said it rides much smoother even with out the camper hooked up.

Worked perfectly with a double motorcycle carrier while hauling two 125cc dirt bikes.

by:

The way they have you run the air line is bad it leaked so I ran line direct to air bag worked all summer long didn't make through winter leaks again this will be 4 times iam done them iam going to just in tembins there a hard rubber and won't leak and don't have to do anything but install them once

by:

Easy install. Very durable. Quality pro duct.

by:

I installed this product on a 2007 AWD Ford Fusion. It was easier to install by completely removing the coil springs during installation. Also, for the AWD model, I had to remove the rubber bump stops and then grind down the rubber supporter for the top of the new blue air bag. There was no need to use the 90 degree elbows and drill a hole in the jounce mount due to a straight vertical hole which was perfect for the air line so there is one less potential leak point. Car rides perfectly and has the stance now that Ford should have done from the factory.

Product has worked out well now. It leaked the first week in which my wife and daughters were going to Florida and I had no time to change it out. After sending several photos to customer service, I received a new bag I did not request a whole kit and installed it and have not had one single problem in one year. Thanks for a great product.

  • What Coil-Rite Air Helper Spring Will Work For My 2019 Dodge Caravan?
Hello David, To ensure that the Air Lift 1000 Universal Air Spring Kit - Rear # AL60920 you will need to measure the spring. I have included a picture to show where to measure. You will need the inside diameter, and the air spring height measurements. The # AL60920 needs a minimum on 5" diameter, and the maximum height can be no greater than 9". Don't feel like measuring, I have a different solution for you. The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # F4169, these are not...

Hey Curtis, we have an air bag suspension enhancement kit that fits your 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan with the Firestone part # F4169 but the Air Lift you mentioned would not work as it's not correct size. Firestone makes probably the best air bags around though so this will work great.

  • What is Tongue Weight Capacity for etrailer Hitch for 2014 Chrysler Town and Country for Carrier
Hey Ted, there isn't a weight distribution type setup that can be used with a cargo carrier like the Flint Hill Goods # FHG69ZR that you referenced. So what that means is with the etrailer hitch part # e98854 you would be limited to 400 lbs of weight with a cargo carrier and what you plan to carry with it and there isn't a way to safely increase this number. I know those power wheel chairs can be heavy so hopefully that is enough. To add additional suspension support to get rid of any...

The Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs # AL60814 will not require the upper supports like the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4169 on your 2012 Chrysler Town and Country. You do not have to worry about the bags being cut on either kit. The bags are designed to flex and will not cut inside the springs from normal use. If you're looking to improve your ride quality and reduce the rear-end sag experienced when towing, a set of Coil-Rite air helper springs like # F4169 offered by Firestone would install inside your existing coil springs and would offer additional support. An air helper spring will allow you to adjust the rear suspension according to how much trailer tongue weight or how much cargo in the rear of the vehicle is being applied to the rear suspension of the Grand Caravan. The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4169 that you referenced are indeed a correct fit for the rear coils springs in your 2014 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. Installation requires you to pull off the stock jounce bumpers and drill a 7/16-inch hole in the jounce bumper mount. • Will the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Spring Fit a 2007 Ford Fusion AWD Without Rear Strut
We have found that some of the 2007 Ford Fusion AWD models have struts not only in the front, but in the rear as well. • Trailer Hitch and Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan
The etrailer.com hitch part # E98854 is a confirmed fit 2 inch hitch with plenty of capacity that is confirmed as a fit for your 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan. I recommend this hitch highly as it has great towing capacities at 4,000 lb trailer weight and 400 lb tongue weight as well as it's priced great. Then for suspension enhancement I would recommend an air bag kit like the Firestone part # F4169 over a jounce style as with an air bag kit you can lower the bag pressure when not needed so...

Firestone Coil-Rite Rear Axle Air Helper Springs, part # F4169, do use pressure-fit air hose connections as you noted. I spoke to a technician at Firestone about the concern of the air lines staying place.
